Shoulder Tech Successfully Delivers BMS Development Project for NEV Automaker
Shanghai Shoulder to Shoulder Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. (Shoulder Tech) has successfully delivered a complete BMS (Battery Management System) development project for a leading domestic new energy vehicle (NEV) automaker. The project covered hardware circuit design, embedded software development, communication protocol integration, and full vehicle commissioning — marking a significant milestone in the company's automotive electronics capabilities. Project Background and Requirements As the NEV market grows rapidly, battery safety and reliability have become top priorities for automakers. The client required a vehicle-grade BMS solution capable of real-time monitoring of pack voltage, current, and temperature, with multi-level protection against overcharge, over-discharge, over-temperature, and short-circuit conditions. Shoulder Tech's engineering team deployed an ARM Cortex-M4 automotive-grade MCU as the main controller, paired with a high-precision AFE (Analog Front End) acquisition chip to complete a 16-cell lithium battery management solution. The software architecture follows AUTOSAR modular design principles and supports real-time CAN bus communication with the vehicle VCU. Project Results After six months of development and testing, the project passed functional verification, environmental adaptability testing, and EMC compliance testing. The BMS achieved SOC estimation accuracy within ±3% and cell balancing current control accuracy better than 50mA, fully meeting mass-production requirements. The client highly praised Shoulder Tech's rapid response and professional technical expertise. Shoulder Tech will continue to deepen its presence in automotive electronics, providing professional product development services to more automakers and Tier-1 suppliers. Shanghai Shoulder Tech provides professional product solutions including product development, circuit design, solution design, and industrial equipment R&D for automotive electronics, smart agriculture, and smart home applications.
